Material
2" diameter aluminum stock approximately 3" long. Stock is located in the Haas Lathe 2 tool box.
Tools
NOTE: Staff will have the tools mounted in the turret and probed for you for this upgrade.
NOTE: The tool numbers have to coincide with numbers on the turret. i.e. If tool 1 is mounted in turret location 2, then it is tool 2 and offset 2 in the program.

T0101: 55 degree turning tool

Operations part C
1) Refer to the Haas ST-15 Lathe guide for assistance with the set up for this upgrade.
2) Load program L1-CCS located in the upgrades folder on the USB thumb drive.
3) Mount the stock into the chuck.
4) Refer to the Setting the Z offset section of the Haas lathe guide to set the work offset. After completion the turret should be at machine home.
6) Refer to the Running the program section when ready to run the program.
Note before running: The M01 optional stop will allow the lathe to stop after each tool operation. It is suggested to measure between operations to confirm the part is reaching its expected dimensions.
7) Measure depths and diameters of the part. These should match the dimensions stated in the part drawing. If the dimensions aren't correct, see staff for assistance in correcting them.
8) Remove the part from the chuck and have staff check it.
9) Refer to the cleaning the lathe section of the machine guide.
