Communications - Brand Guidelines - How to Order Apparel, Business Cards, Name Badges, Brochures & More

Procedures for ordering Extension apparel, name badges, brochures, and more.

Division of Extension Storefronts

Business cards, letterhead, envelopes, print marketing materials

TO PLACE AN ORDER, VISIT: DOIT DIGITAL STOREFRONT

These items can be ordered through the DoIT online store, which requires an account activation. Once logged in, navigate to the “Extension” category tab in the left-hand column. You will need to know your funding string to facilitate orders. If you do not have a funding string to bill to, you can request an external invoice in the billing area when you create a user account. Please see the DoIT Knowledge Base for additional instructions on using the online store.
We will be updating these storefronts with new offerings frequently. If you have requests for print items to be added to this storefront, please contact Extension Communications at mcall@wisc.edu.

Name Badges

TO PLACE AN ORDER, EMAIL:

EXTENSION COMMUNICATIONS

Name badges can be ordered through Extension Communications. Each magnetic-backed personalized name badge measures 3 by 1.5 inches. We are printing only names (not titles or program areas) to make sure the name font is as large as possible. There is no cost. To order, please send your list of names to Matthew Call at mcall@wisc.edu. Badges take two weeks for delivery.

EXTENSION ONLINE STORE

LANDS’ END ONLINE STORE

Apparel can be ordered through our approved vendor, Ad Madison, or Lands’ End. These storefronts are set up for personal funds only, although county funds can be used as well. If using UW funds, please contact Extension Communications at mcall@wisc.edu for details about Purchasing policies. NOTE: Extension is no longer supplying one free piece of clothing for new employees.

Custom Printing

Deciding how to print items not listed above can depend on the funding source to be used. County funds can be used at any printer (see note below about clothing licenses). Using UW funds, you will need to work through a UW-Madison-approved vendor. You will need to know your group/unit's fund number for direct billing. Here are some links to vendors we've been using and who are familiar with our logo needs:

Paper products (business cards, letterheads, cards, posters, etc.):

DoIT

Apparel and conference/event giveaways:

Ad Madison.
Generally, default to DoIT if they offer the item you're looking. This is a UW shop with UW employees and their work is specific to UW needs. If what you're looking for isn't in their inventory, we can use three outside vendors:
You can find more about these vendors and UW's contracts with them here.
***Note: UW-Madison has contracts in place with vendors allowing them to print the UW-Madison logo on clothing. See this link for the full list of approved vendors: https://licensing.wisc.edu/products-and-vendors ***
