Workday Organizations and Campus Space Information

Background: Like other campus information systems, Campus Space Information (CSI) requires a list of UW organizational units that can be applied for various business purposes.

The Assigned Org field is used to track which UW organizational unit is assigned to each room.

The Assigned Org is formally assigned and effectively responsible for the room.
Each room will have only one Assigned Org.
We also track which specific UW organizational units occupy rooms using the Associated Org child records.
A room can have multiple Associated Orgs.

New Organizational Structures in Workday and CSI

Cost Center Hierarchies will be utilized for space assignments.

Cost Center Hierarchy Levels in CSI

Only CCHL7s are applied to space.
CSI is importing a list of all CCHL records (CCHL1 -> CCHL8) from Workday. Uses of multiple levels include:
- Allows us to aggregate and report space data at all levels of the hierarchy from CCHL1 -> CCHL7 within CSI.
- CCHL8 records will be retained in the system for potential future application to space.
