Room Reservations for GNS Special Events

GNS Room Reservations

For classroom change requests see “Classroom Change Requests for GNS Courses.”

To reserve a room for a special event (guest lecturer, meeting, alternative exam time, and similar events), you may submit a request with Bridget Sutton (after Sept 5th). Please include in your request as much detail as you can:

  1. beginning and ending time
  2. date(s)
  3. size (seat count)
  4. configuration (small with movable chairs, lecture hall, or seminar)
  5. amenities (projection, etc.)
  6. and which locations you would prefer or will accept

Note Van Hise may not be available with all of these specifications. You should clearly state how important getting a Van Hise room is and whether you are willing to trade off an amenity (such as projection) for a Van Hise room.

For some rooms, you can submit request directly, if you wish:

VIP and Larger Events

For larger and more prestigious events, you may wish to consider reserving other UW event spaces. Faculty, graduate students, and staff can usually reserve these rooms for departmental or UW organization events. However, many of these locations have usage and amenities fees, and you should seek the appropriate approval before incurring such fees.
