How to enter student hours

Student Exception's in Time Entry

Student Exception's in Time Entry

There has been some confusion on how to enter hours into the time sheet, which has caused people not getting paid for the hours worked. It is very important for you to always check your pay stub, located at MyUW, to make sure everything is correct and that you are getting paid for the hours you have completed.

When you enter your hours, you must enter the hours in the far left, and in the far right. Please see the two examples below for proper timesheet entry.

Example 1:

Matt Smith, a student in the School of Medicine and Public Health, worked for Prof. Dalek from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with no breaks. He would enter his hours as follows:

Example 2:

Turanga Leela, a student working for the mail department delivering packages, works a split shift from 6:00am to 7:00am, and then again from 10:00am to 12:00pm, working a total of 3 hours. She would enter her hours like this:

If you ever see this:  chances are you did something wrong.
