My Drive File Recovery

If you are looking to recover missing files in Google MyDrive, please follow these steps:

1. Search for the file by all possible names/keywords in MyDrive.
2. Check the trash folder to make sure the files were not mistakenly deleted.
   1. If they are in the trash folder, you can restore them to My Drive.
3. Check for unorganized files.
4. If these steps do not work, please contact the DoIT Helpdesk with the following information (please include as much information as possible):
   • Owner of the file(s)
   • File Name(s)
   • File URL(s), if possible
   • Keywords used to locate the file(s)

Shared Drive File Recovery

If you are looking to recover missing files in Google Shared Drives, please follow these steps:

1. Search for the file by all possible names/keywords.
2. Check the shared drive's trash folder to make sure the files were not mistakenly deleted.
   1. If they are in the trash folder, you can restore them to Shared Drives.
3. If these steps do not work, please contact the DoIT Helpdesk with the following information (please include as much information as possible):
   • Shared Drive Name
   • File Name(s)
   • File URL(s), if possible
   • Keywords used to locate the file(s)
