Recommending an Applicant to a Different Program
This document provides directions for recommending an applicant to a different program in Applicant Review. It is best practice to let the student know that you are recommending the student for the program before doing so in Applicant Review; that way, if the student has no interest in the new program, the program can just decline admission.
Process
- Select the student you'd like to Recommend; click on Application Actions drop down and then click Recommend
- In the window that appears, click on the ellipses button located at the end of the Program Field
- The list of programs that appears shows all of your admitting programs. Click the red Select link for the correct program.
- Select your admitting criteria (recommendation Code, Completion date, etc.) and then select Recommend.
To which programs can I recommend?
In Applicant Review, you can only recommend an applicant to other programs that you administer in Applicant Review. If an applicant would like to be considered for a different program that you do not administer, then the applicant will have to fill out a new application.
