Graduate Recruitment Resources (Post-application Phase)

These resources focus on the needs and questions of prospective graduate students who have applied and been accepted to UW-Madison and are making decisions about attendance.
Click on the links below for specific documents, or access all of these materials in Box at uwmadison.box.com/v/post-app-recruitment.
Please note, this KB doc and the Box folder collect various resources, for your convenience.  Feel free to share individual PDFs or text excerpts with your prospective students, but not the link to this KB doc or Box folder.

Check this document at the beginning of every recruitment season to make sure you are using the most up-to-date versions of these resources.  Resources will be updated annually.

Resources about campus and Madison

Programs and departments can request publications from Campus and Visitor Relations as downloadable PDFs or printed booklets for UW–Madison departments. To order print publications, you'll need access to Shop@UW.

Destination Madison also offers an online Visitors Guide to Madison that you can download and share with prospective or current students.

Purchase folders for print materials

Folders with the Graduate School logo are available to purchase from DoIT Digital Publishing & Printing Services (DPPS). The folders are white and have two pockets and a business card slot. They do not include any flyers or inserts.

To purchase Graduate School folders:

  1. Log in to the DPPS Online Store with your NetID.
  2. If this is your first time using the DPPS storefront, make sure to add a funding code to your account before placing your order. Go to your profile in the top right of the screen and select Account Codes in the left-hand menu to add a funding code.
  3. Search for the Graduate School Pocket Folder item.
    1. In the Item Catalog, go to Graduate School and click "View Products", then select Reprints and click "View Products".
    2. Select "Graduate School Pocket Folder".
  4. Add the quantity you wish to order and add to your cart.
  5. If you need an estimated price before ordering, use the DPPS Print Estimate Form to describe the quantity of "Graduate School Pocket Folder" items you would like to order. Before submitting the print estimate form, select the "Medium priority" checkbox.
  6. Complete checkout.

Plan to order at least 1 week in advance. Note that larger orders often result in a lower cost per folder. If you plan to use folders for multiple events throughout the year, consider placing one larger order rather than multiple, smaller orders.
