Steps
Log in to https://madison.sis.wisc.edu using your NetID and password, and click the compass icon in the upper right hand corner of the screen to open the NavBar.
Once open select Academic Advisement, then Student Advisement, and finally Request Advisement Report.
If running a report for the first time select the Add a New Value tab. Then, in the ID field enter the student's EmplID*, enter the Report Type as GRADV, and click Add.
*Note: this is the SIS EmplID, not the Campus ID, and it can be found by looking at the student's record in the Records and Enrollment module of SIS.
Click Process Request.
The following screen should then be displayed. This provides general information that explains what GSTS is, and includes a disclaimer for users that course exceptions and prior coursework may not be displayed in the report.
Student's actual coursework and academic progress are reflected in this report. Requirements that are "not satisfied" remain expanded, and requirements that are "satisfied" will be collapsed.
However, you can automatically collapse and expand all sections in the report using the buttons at the top of the page.

Scrolling down you will also see Program Minimum Requirements, including those for resident credit and graduate coursework (50%). These minimums satisfy the Graduate School minimum requirements, and are pulled individually for each program from the Requirements tab on the program Guide page.
Lastly, at the bottom of the page you will find Informational Data which includes courses not counted for program requirements, but which might be used towards completing the Graduate School requirements.
Once a report has been requested for a student you can use the Find an Existing Value tab to search for the report. In the ID field enter the student's EmplID*, enter the Report Type as GRADV, and click Search.
Note: Reports will be auto-run nightly.
