Windows 10 to Windows 11 Self-Service Upgrade Option

This document covers how to use the Bigfix Self-Service application to upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11.

Overview

Note the self-service option described below will not become available until June 2nd 2025

The Windows 10 to Windows 11 self-service upgrade takes approximately 2 hours to complete. The download is approximately 6.5GB so the overall duration will be impacted by your home internet speeds if you are remote. You can work while the upgrade is happening, but you’ll need to restart manually once the installation completes so Windows 11 can start for the first time.

There are checks in place to confirm upgrade compatibility so if your computer is not able to upgrade, the self-service option will NOT show the Windows 11 upgrade option. Please contact the contract partner help desk to determine next steps.
