NOTE: SIS will not be available from June 28, 2019 at 4:00p.m. to July 8, 2019 at 8:00a.m.

Users, including instructors, departmental staff, and students, will not be able to access SIS during this period. The upgraded version will be available starting Monday, July 8 at 8:00a.m.

SIS-dependent systems, such as DARS, Course Search and Enroll app and CashNet will also be unavailable or not updated during this outage. Class rosters in Canvas and WiscList Classlist will not be updated during the outage, and thus will reflect class enrollments as of Friday, June 28.

During this time period, there will be no transactions occurring to and/or from SIS. All enrollment, grading, updates, etc. will not be available within SIS or SIS-dependent systems.

For more information, please see https://upgrade.sis.wisc.edu/.

  1. Login to My UW-Madison.
  2. Open the Student Center app. If you do not see the app on your homepage, use the search bar at the top of the page to search for "Student Center". The app may be added to your homepage from the search results for easier access in the future.

  3. Locate the "Personal Information" section towards the bottom of Student Center. Click on the address or phone number you want to change and make the updates.

For addresses:

You can change your Mailing Address and Home Address by clicking on the respective items under Contact Information.

For phone numbers:

You can change your phone number by either clicking on Personal Information or Cell Phone - View All under Contact Information.
  • Note: If you click the "Personal Information" link, you will have to select the phone numbers tab.
Select your preferred number. This is the number that will be listed in the campus White Pages and shows your preferred number for contact.

If you want to restrict your phone number from being listed in the White Pages or released to outside parties, you will need to place a FERPA restriction on your phone numbers.  See Student Center - Updating your Privacy (FERPA) settings
