Cisco Anyconnect (Mac) - Uninstalling the VPN Client


WiscVPN is transitioning from using Cisco AnyConnect to Palo Alto GlobalProtect. For information on which client to use during the transition, see the news item WiscVPN Client Transition.

This document describes how to uninstall the Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client software on a Mac OS computer.

  1. Click the Spotlight Search icon in the upper right hand corner of your Mac computer. This icon looks like a magnifying glass.

  2. Type "Uninstall AnyConnect"

  3. This will bring up a listing of things on your computer that are related to the AnyConnect Client. In the list of results, there should be "Uninstall AnyConnect", depicted by an icon with the AnyConnect logo and a slashed circle, shown in this picture below.


  4. Click the "Uninstall AnyConnect" logo.

  5. This will bring up a dialogue box, prompting you to continue or cancel the uninstall process.


  6. Click the "Uninstall" option.
