If a customer contacts the Help Desk to report a problem with the "Preparing for SOAR" app, log the incident per https://kb.wisc.edu/helpdesk/internal/112210.

Using the App

There are five pages/steps for the app: Advising, AP Scores, IB Scores, Transfer Courses, and Summary.

Advising

Enter any additional comments that you may wish to share with your SOAR advisor. When finished, click SUBMIT ANSWERS.

After submitting your information, you will be presented with the advising group you selected in your SOAR Reservation. Click Continue to move on. If you have any questions about your advising group, please contact the SOAR office at soar@studentaffairs.wisc.edu.

AP Scores

Use the Select subject and Select a score drop down menus to enter any AP tests that you have taken. Click +Add Score to add each individual test score to your list. Click Save & Next.

IB Scores

Use the Select subject and Select a score drop down menus to enter any IB tests that you have taken. Click +Add Score to add each individual test score to your list. Click Save & Next.

Transfer courses

Use the text boxes on the page to enter any transfer courses you would like to report. All fields on this page are required when reporting a course. Click +Add Course to add each individual transfer course to your list. Click Save & Next.

Summary

After entering Transfer courses or skipping this step, a summary page will appear. Use the Edit buttons to change responses for each corresponding section.
