ECMS - Removing previous versions of PEERNET Spooler Service

After installing a new version of Perceptive Content, previous versions of the PEERNET Print Spooler may still exist on the workstation. This can cause instability in ImageNow printer, and it is recommended to remove these previous versions.

Currently, the latest version of PEERNet Spooler Service is: 11.0

  1. Open the start menu, then search for and open services.msc.

  2. Locate and take note of which versions of PEERNET Spooler Service are installed. We will later be removing all of them except for 11.0.

  3. Open the start menu again.

  4. Search for Command Prompt then right click the result and click Run as Administrator.

  5. In the command prompt window, type sc delete "PEERNET Spooler Service " e.g. sc delete "PEERNET Spooler Service 10.0"

  6. Repeat step 5 for every version of PEERNET Spooler Service except for 11.0.

  7. Return to services.msc.

  8. Right-click on PEERNET Spooler Service 11.0 and choose properties

  9. Change startup type to Automatic.

  10. Restart the computer.

Note: Performing the above steps should fix ongoing issues with ImageNow printer instability, but if the printer is currently broken it may need to be reinstalled. See ECMS - Reinstalling the ImageNow Printer.
