WiscWeb - WordPress UW Theme - Adding Jump Marks In Text Blocks
Jump links are sometimes used to take site users to particular locations within a site. This document will walk you through the process of setting those up.
In a text block, populated with some content, click on the Text tab in the upper right corner of the editor.
In the text, find the location of the place you want people to jump to (a specific word or paragraph). Now, still in the Text tab, add in the following code: <a name="INSERT A NAME HERE FOR THE JUMP"></a>. See the screenshot below for an example:
Now, to create the link to this location, you would find the word or words that you want to be the jump link and add in the following code (remember to still be in the Text tab):
<a href="#JUMP NAME USED BEFORE">some text that will be linked</a>. See the screenshot below for an example:
