InfoLabs - Logging Into Lab Computers Using NetID

InfoLab computers use Campus Active Directory NetID authentication for login.

This document handles Windows and OSX login on InfoLabs' computers using NetID. For problems relating to login for other web based NetID services such as MyUW, please see NetID - Login Problems or MyUW Madison - Login, Access, and Troubleshooting .

The InfoLabs computers use Campus Active Directory for login.  For help logging in, see Campus Active Directory - NetID User Authentication.

If you cannot log in to the computer, please ask the local lab staff to try logging in to that machine with their NetID and/or try a different lab computer.  If the lab staff can’t login to the InfoLab computer, there may be a problem with the computer. Ask the staff to report the problem to infolab management.

If you are unable to log in to any computer while the staff is able to log in, the problem is likely not with the InfoLab computers. Attempt to log into the NetID Login Service, My UW-Madison, Office 365, or other NetID authenticated service to make sure you are using the correct NetID/Password combination. If you are still unable to login call the DoIT Help Desk at 264-HELP.
