WiscMail Web Client upgrade on Tue, Oct 31

Posted: 19:00:00, Thursday, Oct 26, 2006   Expiration: 19:00:00, Tuesday, Oct 31, 2006

The WiscMail web client will be upgraded on Tuesday, October 31.

This upgrade does not introduce any major changes to the appearance or the feature set of the web client. The upgrade is necessary to ensure compatibility with Internet Explorer 7, which will be offered as a high-priority Windows Update during the first week of November.

The automatic spell checking feature in this new version of the WiscMail web client does not currently work. Users will have to manually click the "Spell Check" button before sending email messages from the web client. The WiscMail Service Team plans to fix the automatic spell check feature with future upgrades, which will occur over the next few weeks once quality assurance testing has been completed.
