Priority Enrollment for the Spring 2004 Term is November 10, 2003 ? December 5, 2003. Priority Enrollment is the time period when students are first able to enroll for classes for an upcoming term. Students can enroll at or after their assigned enrollment appointment time.

Students will enroll for courses on the web at https://my.wisc.edu through the MyUW-Madison portal - Enrollment Tab.

If the My UW-Madison portal is unavailable or a student’s technical problem with accessing My UW-Madison cannot be resolved on the first call, students can also enroll at http://myinfo.wisc.edu (note the https:). Campus ID and PIN are needed for this site. Refer to Web Enrollment-Unable to Enroll for more information.

Types of issues users may run into include:

  • Attempt to enroll before appointment time. The student should locate and verify their appointment time in web enrollment. When the student selects a term, the appointment time will display.

  • Has a hold(s) preventing the student from enrolling. The student should check for any holds on the Student Record tab in My UW.

  • Not able to get into the classes they want. Technical problems are different than enrollment errors, some of which will be perfectly legitimate. For example, if students call with error messages similar to “Class Closed”, “Not eligible/Don’t meet requirements”, the student should contact the department offering the course.
  • Unable to get into My UW-Madison. Take appropriate measures to rule out Net ID activation issues. If not able to resolve, escalate the case.

Troubleshoot all other issues per our handling document. http://helpdesk.wisc.edu/internal/page.php?id=1136

Remember, if there is a technical issue that is preventing a student from enrolling, we will create 2 cases for them. One gets escalated internally to address the technical issue, the other gets escalated to HDI as a referral and the student is directed to call the Registrars office at 2-0920, M-F, 7:45 - 4:30.

Below is the email sent to all continuing students on October 31, 2003. It lists their appointment time and any holds they may have which will prevent enrollment.
