PowerPoint (Win) - MS09.dll Error when Printing
This document explains what to do if an end-user tries to print a presentation in PowerPoint 2000 or 2003 and receives an MS09.dll error.
This error message occurs when the following conditions exist:
- Background printing is turned on.
- One or more objects in the presentation are corrupted or in an invalid format.
When background printing is turned on, Microsoft PowerPoint makes a temporary copy of the presentation when you print. The error message occurs during this process. To resolve this the end-user will need to turn background printing off. This can be done by performing the following while within PowerPoint:
- Click on the Tools menu and select Options.
- Select the Print tab and click to clear the Background printing checkbox.
- Click OK.
