eduroam - Android Setup

This document explains how to connect to eduroam on an Android-based smartphone.

  1. In the General Settings, Make sure WiFi is turned on.

  2. Select the eduroam SSID

  3. Configure the Android supplicant as follows:

    • EAP Method: PEAP
    • Phase 2 Authentication: MSCHAPv2
    • Anonymous Identity:anonymous@wisc.edu
    • Identity:NetID@wisc.edu
    • Password:NetID Password

    Note: for those using Android 8.1.0 and above, you must select Use system certificates under CA certificates, and add wisc.edu as your domain in addition to the previous steps mentioned. This is pictured below.

  4. You Are Connected!
