SecureFX - Remove Old License File after Upgrade

This document describes the procedure for removing an old SecureFX license file after an upgrade.

Background

After upgrading to a new version of SecureFX users may receive notifications asking them to renew the software's license and/or the software's license information may appear grayed out:

These issues occur because the upgraded version of the software is reading the previous version's license information. Follow the directions below to remove the old license information.

Directions

  1. Click on the Start menu and select Computer (or My Computer on Windows XP).

  2. Within Windows Explorer, navigate to C:\Program Files\VanDyke Software\Secure FX (or C:\Program Files (x86)\VanDyke Software\Secure FX if you installed the 32-bit version on a 64-bit machine).

  3. Locate the file labeled "SecureFx.LIC"
