Mac - Changing a Local Account Password
This document explains how to change a local user account password from Mac OS X.
To change your password in Mac OS X:
- Open System Preferences and select Accounts.
- Select your user account in the My Account section then click Change Password...
- Enter your current password into the Old Password field. Enter the new password into the New Password field. Re-enter the new password into the Verify field. Click Change Password.
