NetID Login Service - Blocked IP Address due to Suspicious Activity

Please follow the directions in this document to request that your IP address be unlocked.

Security Notice:

You have been re-routed to this page because your IP address has been flagged for possible suspicious activity.

Your service provider has been notified of this action on three occasions and has failed to contact the UW with the requested information.

Please call the DoIT Help Desk at 608-264-HELP (608-264-4357) and provide the following information:

  1. Name and NetID.
  2. The IP address in use at the time you were routed to this page. You can find your current IP address at any time by going to (Please write the number down if you are not able to call the Help Desk right away.)
  3. The location from which you are attempting to login (e.g. apartment complex, public kiosk, place of employment).
  4. Service provider for a residential location (e.g. AT&T DSL, Charter Cable, etc.).

The DoIT Help Desk personnel will then notify the UW NetID Login Service team. The information you provide will be used to further our investigation. All attempts will be made to restore your access as quickly as possible.

You are also advised to contact your service provider or IT Admin to report this issue.
