Manframe -- Removing Access to Appointment/Payroll Transactions on the "3270" Mainframe
As part of the decommissioning of the mainframe (also known as 3270, legacy or blue), access will be disabled to the remaining appointment, payroll and leave transactions on Sunday, January 13, 2019. This is part of the UW System and DoITâs larger effort to decommission the "3270" mainframe by June 2019.
FYI, the budget system transactions are not in scope for this effort as the budget mainframe systems are still in place.

UW-Madison Division of Information Technology (DoIT) is working with the Service Center to remove access to the remaining appointment, payroll and leave transactions on the mainframe by June 2019.
You are identified as someone who has accessed one or more of the following transactions on the mainframe in the past twelve months. Effective Sunday, January 13, 2019, you will no longer have access to these transactions.

We understand data associated with these transactions are used occasionally to support business processes. A considerable amount of this historical data is available through UW Business Intelligence (UWBI) reports. If you are unable to retrieve the data through UWBI, please contact your designated Affinity Group with any questions. The (see attached crosswalk table) identifies the new access locations for the transaction data.
If you currently do not have access to UWBI, visit the UWBI resource page and follow the instructions under the section to request access.
Please note: removing transaction access is focused only on the legacy HR appointment, payroll and leave transactions. The budget system transactions are not in scope for this effort as the budget mainframe systems are still in place.
