Password Requirements
This document describes the password requirements for user accounts created in the uwsads.wisconsin.edu Active Directory forest. These requirements were taken from the UW System Administrative Procedure 1030 draft policy.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 12 characters
- Contains 3 of the following 4 requirements: capital letter, lower case letter, number, and special character
- Cannot have been used as one of your last 99 passwords
- May not contain your user ID
- Must be changed at least once every 180 days
Account Lockout:
User accounts will become locked out for 30 minutes after 7 consecutive failed authentication attempts.
