Course Search & Enroll - "There was an error while loading these courses" error

What it means
The Course Search & Enroll Cart and Scheduler are disabled due to an issue in the Degree Planner tab. This can be caused by not having a primary degree plan set or a change to a course after it was initially placed in your degree plan such as a deleted course or a change in topic title.
The instructions below demonstrate how to:
- Select a primary degree plan
- Remove the faulty course(s) from the appropriate terms in Degree Planner

Select a Primary Degree Plan in Degree Planner
Step 1
Navigate to the "Degree Planner" tab.
Step 2
Check your Degree Plans in the drop-down menu. If none of your plans have a star symbol next to them, continue with the next steps to successfully make one of your plans the primary plan.

If your Degree Plan does have star symbol next to one of your degree plans, then this is likely not the issue. Try to check if your degree plan has any faulty courses.

Step 3
Click the settings gear next to the Degree Plans drop-down menu, then click "Make Primary."

Step 4
A pop up will ask you to confirm you want to change your primary degree plan. Click "Set as Primary Plan."

Step 5
Log out of Course Search & Enroll, then log back in. Navigate to "My Courses" for the impacted term and verify that the error message is cleared. You may need to click "Try Again" to reload your cart.

Remove the Faulty Course(s) from the Appropriate Terms in Degree Planner
Step 1
Navigate to the "Degree Planner" tab.
Step 2
If you have more than one Degree Plan created, check each one to locate the plan with a "Cart" tab for the impacted term and select that degree plan.

Step 3
If you notice courses with a red exclamation/warning symbol, you can start by removing them from the cart to see if that resolves the issue. If not, remove all of the courses from the impacted term's degree plan cart. Do this one course at a time by clicking on the three dots and selecting "Remove."

Step 4
Log out of Course Search & Enroll, then log back in. Navigate to "My Courses" for the impacted term and verify that the error message is cleared.
