Academic Year Planning - Add cross-listed courses
In this guide
Set X-Lists
-
From Academic Year Planning, select “Set X-Lists” at the top of the page.
-
Once you’re on the Course Associations page, select the plus sign icon (+) to populate a new row in the table.
-
Initially, all fields in the table will auto-fill with the first available choice in each dropdown. Don’t worry — this will not save as a cross-listing unless you select “Save.”
-
Expand each dropdown and select the information corresponding to the course you want to cross-list: Course Number, Associated Department, and Start Term. You do not need to select an End Term unless you already know there’s an intended end term.
-
Select either “Save” button to save your cross-listed course. If your save is successful, the following status message will appear at the top of the page when it reloads: “Course Associations Saved.”
-
You can verify the existence of the cross-listing by looking for a black flag icon in the “MW/X-List” column on the Academic Year Planning page. To see the other section that a course is combined with and whether it’s a Meets With or Cross-Listing, hover over the flag icon with your mouse to make the course info appear as a tooltip.
