Interactive Reporting - Obtaining a License

Every Interactive Reporting user must be in the license count. You may be using the Query Library or other campus access such as CALS, the Registrar, etc., the web based plug-in version of IR or the desktop studio client version of IR. If you use one or any combination of these it is the same license.

Note: Interactive Reporting, including both the IR Workspace (web) and the Studio Desktop client, will be decommissioned on March 1st, 2019. Neither the web nor the desktop software will be available or supported after this date.

UW-Madison affiliates can find more information on alternative tools on the Office of Data Management and Analytics Services website.

Other UW System affiliates can find additional information, as well as a list of support contacts, on the UWBI Support website.

By requesting access to the Interactive Reporting web client plug-in, the Query Library or other campus data located in the Interactive Reporting workspace you will be automatically added to the license count and not need to complete this form.

However, all users who plan to use the Interactive Reporting Studio (desk-top studio client), must complete the access request form.

The request form for Interactive Reporting Studio Client can be accessed at the following URL:

Mass Licensing

If you are an IT administrator and want to implement a mass-distribution of the Interactive Reporting service, you must assure that each user has requested access via this form. If a user has not requested access, he or she will be violating the license agreement.

If you have any questions contact the DoIT Help Desk at (608) 264-4357 and select option 2.
