Interactive Reporting - Blank Screen When Opening the Interactive Reporting Web Client
If you open a blank screen (most likely a gray screen) that does not respond when you open the Interactive Reporting Web Client (version 11), check to see if you are using Internet Explorer 9 or 10. If you have been upgraded to IE 10 you will have this problem. You may also see a blank screen with a small circle spinning in the center. You may also get a blank screen with a small circle spinning in the center. This may not have anything to do with the version of your browser.
For both of these problems, a blank screen and a blank screen with a small circle spinning in the center, one of these options should fix the problem.
1) If your Internet Explorer has been upgraded to IE 10 or you have a new Windows 8 machine with IE 10 (standard on Windows 8 machines), you may find that the Interactive Reporting Web Client does not work. You will get a blank screen and will most likely lock-up. If your browser has been upgraded or your PC came with IE 10, follow the instructions in Making IE 10 Compatible with Interactive Reporting to set the compatibility mode. If you are using IE 8 or IE 9 or your compatibility mode has been set and you are still having a problem please continue reading.
2) You can Clear the Cache and Cookies. This can be used to fix several problems and is always worth trying before you reinstall anything.
3) Another option is to re-install the Interactive Reporting web plug-in. First go to your Control Panel-->Programs-->Programs and Features and remove the Hyperion Interactive Reporting Web Client. Follow the installation instructions in Downloading and Installing Web Client Browser Plug-in making sure you first read the section labelled Open IE from Application.
