Interactive Reporting - Strange Symbol Appears on Screen

When using two or more monitors with Interactive Reporting, you may encounter strange errors or behavior.

Note: Interactive Reporting, including both the IR Workspace (web) and the Studio Desktop client, will be decommissioned on March 1st, 2019. Neither the web nor the desktop software will be available or supported after this date.

To avoid these situations, use of Interactive Reporting should begin on the Primary monitor only. Once you have begun to use a query on the primary monitor you should no longer have the problem.  To determine and configure your primary monitor, please see the following Microsoft support article: Change display settings on multiple monitors
