The KB4U Mobile App is designed to index external content from various KB subsites, as well as unified KB sites. This document will provide a brief history and instructions on how to enable/ disable your KB Group's participation.
The development of a mobile app for use in accessing KnowledgeBase content began with a desire to better reach the ever-widening audience of mobile device users. By developing a standalone app for iOS and Android, our aim was to leverage some of the native features of these mobile Operating Systems in order to maximize usability of the KB on these devices.
The University of Wisconsin-Madison KB team started this project with initial development of an iOS app. The University of Illinois, a current KB partner, then joined the initiative by developing an Android version of the app.
The KB4U app can be found in the App Store (Apple) and Google Play Store.
