General - OCLC - Creating an OCLC Connexion Session

Create Session

  1. Launch the OCLC Connexion application.

  2. Select Tools → Options from the pull-down menu.

  3. Choose the Access tab.

  4. Select OCLC Default – For most users (http://connexion.oclc.org).

  5. Leave the Proxy Server section as-is.

  6. Click Apply, then OK.

Setup Authorization

⚠️ NOTE: To get authorization, contact Xiying Mi, Head of Resource Description.

  1. Launch OCLC Connexion (if not already launched) and select File → Log On.

  2. In the next dialog box, click Setup Authorizations to open the Authorizations tab.

  3. In the Default row, enter:

    • Authorization (a number in the format ###-###-###, including hyphens)

    • Password

    • Name for the authorization

  4. Click OK.

This will return you to the Logon OCLC Connexion box. Choose OK to log on.
