How to Print from a Library Kiosk (Video and Written Instruction)
This KB will show and tell you the process of printing via PaperCut on a library desktop computer (autologin and login computer) as well as a few troubleshooting steps if there is an issue.

- No sound on the video.

- Once a print job has been sent to the desired printer, a “New Print Job - Alternate Credentials” window will appear. It may take a bit to load.
- Review the information on the popup. The popup will tell you how much the print job will cost.
- In the textbox, enter the NetID or 10-digit Print Card Number that will pay for the print job.
- A NetID is the same as the username you login to MyUW. A Print Card number is not the same as a WisCard number.
- Click "OK".
- Go to a print release station and sign in with the same account that was entered in step #3.

Login Kiosk Printing Process (Written)
Paying with the Same NetID as Logged in With
- Once a print job has been sent to the desired printer, a “Printing Confirmation” window will appear. It may take a few seconds.
- Please check if the information about the print job is correct. Note that this screen will let you know how much the print job will.
- If you would like to pay with the same NetID (username you logged in with) that you signed into the computer with, click "OK" at the bottom right.
- Go to a print release station and sign in with the same NetID that was listed above.

Paying with a Print Card or a Different NetID than the One Used to Login to the Desktop
- Once a print job has been sent to the desired printer, a “Printing Confirmation” window will appear. It may take a few seconds.
- Please check if the information about the print job is correct. Note it will tell you how much the print job will cost.
- Use the drop down menu to select "Specify a different NetID or Print Card Number".
- Click "OK".
- In the textbox, enter in the Print Card Number or a different NetID than the one used to login to the desktop. (The screenshot below shows adding a NetID)
- Click "OK".
- Go to a print release station and sign in with the same Print Card Number or NetID that was entered in step #5 above.
Troubleshooting and Notes
- Make sure the same NetID/print card number that was used to send the job to the printer was used on the release station.
- A NetID is the same as the username you login to Canvas with and the first part of your UW-Madison email.
- Example: bbadger4@wisc.edu would make the NetID bbadger4
- Make sure the desired printer was selected for the job to be sent to.
- If the print job does not print and the two notes above are correct, have a staff member check on the paper and ink in the printer.
