LCS - Creating and editing partials in Betty Blocks

An application template or page template may have the header and footer that is similar, but not the same one that should be used for your School, College, Division (SCD). Most header and footers are saved as partials. This will guide you through editing the partial on the page.

Partials

A partial is a part of your application’s page that consists of one or multiple components. Creating partials is essential for those developers who want their website to have the same components with functionality on numerous pages in their application. Usually, these components will be the header and footer of the page. Partials can be added like components to a page or can be part of a page template when creating a new page.

Creating a partial

  1. Select a component and move up to area that has multiple components inside it (like Box, Column, etc.)
  2. In lower left corner, select Convert to partial button.

  2. Open a page with the partial that needs to be changed.
  3. Select the partial.
  4. Select the Convert to components button to swap out or add another component to the partial.
