  • The iLok USB drive is plugged into the back of this computer and must remain there

• The iLok License Manager app is configured locally on each of the workstations to connect to the iLok Server

Legacy install directions - Jan 2022 - The following procedure was not sufficient for activation of Pro Tools which requires an iLok Server to manage the licenses.

    • To install a plug-in: 1 Do one of the following: • Download the installer for your computer platform from the Avid website (www.avid.com). After downloading, you may need to uncompress the installer (.SIT on Mac or .ZIP on Windows). – or – • Insert the installer disc that came with the boxed version of your plug-in into your computer. 2 Double-click the plug-in installer application. 3 Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation. 4 When installation is complete, click Quit (Mac) or Finish (Windows). When you open Pro Tools, you are prompted to authorize your new plug-in (see “Using Pro Tools Plug-Ins with Avid Media Composer” on page 12).

    • HD Driver requires: Please disable sleep in System Preferences > "Energy Saver" or "Battery" in order to prevent system crashes or hangs. Set “Turn display off after” to “Never”. Enable “Prevent computer from sleeping automatically when the display is off”

    • HD driver can be installed, however it requires access to system extensions. Brad says do not install this unless Music inquires about it.

    • Loopmasters pack installed fine.

    • Plug ins: Eleven effects bundle, First air effects bundle, First air instruments bundle, Graphic EQ, XPand II installed fine. 

Sibelius Ultimate MultiSeat (incl. AudioScore, PhotoScore & NotateMe)

• The Sibelius License Server was configured on Win Box (LSS-61P0V12) in the East End Office (this is the same Win Box that the iLok Server is running on)

  • Original installation steps:

    • Log in to Avid’s site using credentials in LastPass.

    • Download and run the installer for Sibelius Ultimate Multiseat (Network) > Sibelius License Server 8.4.2.

    • Uninstall Avid Application Manager, which gets installed as part of the license server.

    • Install Avid Link from https://www.avid.com/products/avid-link#Downloads.

    • Launch Sibelius License Server Control Panel.

    • On the Status tab, under Server Status (NOT Service Status), click Stop to stop the server.

    • On the Licenses tab, click Manage Licenses…

    • When prompted to disconnect current clients of the license server, click Yes.

    • Avid Link should have opened. Go to the Product tab > Sibelius License Server > dropdown arrow > License.

    • If it shows Sibelius License Server as activated, skip to step 12.

    • Click Enter Manually and enter the System ID and Activation ID for Sibelius Ultimate Multiseat (Network) from the Avid account site.

    • Back in Sibelius License Server Control Panel, on the Status tab, click Start under Server Status.

    • Check the Licenses tab to confirm the Sibelius licenses show up.

  • For the Sibelius sounds updater, it seems like you need to have the ~20GB sounds package installed first to run it.

  • Install Photoscore & NotateMe Lite

  • Install Audioscore Lite

  • Install Sounds Package - copy to machine first then install.
