Printing (Windows) - Adding a Copy Code for a Canon Copier
Windows 11
- Open Settings.
- In the navigation pane on the left, select Bluetooth & devices.
- Click Printers & scanners.
- Select the copier from the list of connected printers.
If you do not see the copier in your list of printers, see Printing (Windows) - Mapping a Departmental Printer for steps to connect.
- Click Printing preferences.
- Go to the Support/Device tab.
If you do not see the Support/Device tab, contact Technical Support for assistance.
- Click Authentication Information Settings...
- Enter your code into the "Department ID" field. In most cases, you should leave the "PIN" blank.
- Click OK then OK.
Consider sending a print job to the copier to test that you can print without being prompted for a code. Or, if your department uses secure print, follow the steps in Printing (Windows) - Configuring Secure Print on a Canon Copier to configure that feature.
Windows 10
- Open Settings.
- Select Devices.
- In the navigation pane on the left, click Printers & scanners.
- Select the copier from the list of connected printers, then click Manage.
If you do not see the copier in your list of printers, see Printing (Windows) - Mapping a Departmental Printer for steps to connect.
- Click Printing preferences.
- Go to the Support/Device tab.
If you do not see the Support/Device tab, contact Technical Support for assistance.
