Van Hise Conference Room 618A
This is an overview of the AV equipment in Van Hise conference room 618A.
FRIT installed a TV and videoconferencing bar in Van Hise conference room 618A in July 2023
Instructions:
Users should connect their laptop to the available HDMI and USB cables in order to use the TV and videoconferencing bar.
Technical Details:
TV: Samsung QE65T, 65" 4K display
- The wall mount features an articulating arm which allows for some adjustments, including:
- Pivoting the TV to the left or right
- Extending up to 18" from the wall toward the conference table,
- Tilting the TV slightly in multiple directions.
- The HDMI cable has an adapter ring attached to it with a USB-C dongle
- The HDMI cable is sufficiently long to accommodate users at the conference table.
- The TV is set to turn off automatically when not connected to a source (ex. laptop).
- The TV has a remote to power it on and off as needed.
Videoconferencing bar: Jabra PanaCast 50
- The Jabra PanaCast 50 has integrated cameras, speakers and microphones
- It is certified for use with Microsoft Teams and Zoom
- It is mounted directly to the TV
- The USB-A cable connects users' laptops to the Jabra PanaCast 50
- Users may need to configure their app (ex. Teams, Zoom, etc.) on their laptop to use the Jabra PanaCast 50 for their speakers, mic, and camera
- NOTE: Other users in the room should mute their laptops
- At the time of installation the firmware was updated to the latest version
- Future firmware updates may be necessary for improved functionality & compatibility
