Printing (Windows) - Configuring Secure Print on a Canon Copier
Follow these steps to configure the secure print feature of a Canon copier on your computer.
Windows 11
- Open Settings.
- In the navigation pane on the left, select Bluetooth & devices.
- Click Printers & scanners.
- Select the copier from the list of connected printers.
If you do not see the copier in your list of printers, see Printing (Windows) - Mapping a Departmental Printer for steps to connect.
- Click Printing preferences.
- On the bottom of the Main tab, ensure the "Output Method" is set to Secure Print.
If you do not see the Main tab, contact Technical Support for assistance.
- Click Settings... next to Secure Print dropdown menu.
- Enter a PIN of your choosing.
- Click OK then OK again.
Consider sending a print job to the copier and following the steps in Printing - Releasing a Secure Print on a Canon Copier to release the job at the copier.
Windows 10
- Open Settings.
- Select Devices.
- In the navigation pane on the left, click Printers & scanners.
- Select the copier from the list of connected printers, then click Manage.
If you do not see the copier in your list of printers, see Printing (Windows) - Mapping a Departmental Printer for steps to connect.
- Click Printing preferences.
- On the bottom of the Main tab, ensure the "Output Method" is set to Secure Print.
If you do not see the Main tab, contact Technical Support for assistance.
- Click Settings... next to Secure Print dropdown menu.
- Enter a PIN of your choosing.
- Click OK then OK again.
