Office365 - Manually Submitting a Message as Spam or Phishing

The steps on this page outline the process of manually submitting a message as spam.

Outlook for Windows (2013, 2016, 2019, or 365)

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Select the message you'd like to report.
  3. In the "Respond" section of the "Home" tab, click More () > Forward as Attachment. If you do not see the "Respond" section, look under the ellipsisoutlook_ellipsis.pngbutton on the far right. 
  4. Enter abuse@wisc.edu as the recipient, then click Send.
  5. Delete the message from your Inbox.

Outlook for macOS (2016, 2019, or 365)

  1. Open Outlook.
  2. Select the message you'd like to report.
  3. In the "Home" tab, click Attachment (). If you do not see the Attachment button, look under the Respond button instead.
  4. Enter abuse@wisc.edu as the recipient, then click Send.
  5. Delete the message from your Inbox.

Mail for macOS

  1. Open Mail.
  2. Right-click on the message you'd like to report and select Forward as Attachment.
  3. Enter abuse@wisc.edu as the recipient, then click the Send messagemail_send.pngbutton.
  4. Delete the message from your Inbox.
