New Quizzes are a suite of improvements to the quiz features built into Canvas. For more information about New Quizzes, please see the Instructure Community website. Classic quizzes are still available in Canvas.

UW-Madison does not offer New Quizzes because the tool is still undergoing development and lacks overall feature parity with Classic Quizzes. Instructure previously promoted a transition deadline to move from classic Quizzes to New Quizzes; however, they have removed that deadline and UW-Madison can now choose when to migrate from classic Quizzes to New Quizzes. At this time there are no plans for UW-Madison to migrate to New Quizzes.

As time goes on and as New Quizzes matures, Learn@UW-Madison will continue to work with Instructure as well as with our Unizin consortium peers to discuss improvements to New Quizzes and a potential migration path.
