Posting grades
-
Verify that you've synced your roster and linked your assignments before attempting to post grades.
-
When you've finished grading submissions, Gradescope will open the Grading Dashboard for the assignment.
-
Open the left sidebar in Gradescope and select Review Grades.
-
Open the More menu on the bottom taskbar Post Grades to Canvas button. A new window will appear, where you can confirm whether to post grades.

-
In the menu that opens, select Post Grades.
Note: Posting Grades to Canvas only sends the raw scores to Canvas. Students will not be able to view their graded submissions, question-by-question scores, rubrics, or feedback in Gradescope until grades are published.
-
For fully graded submissions: only the overall score will be posted to your Canvas Gradebook. These assignments will have a checkmark (✓) next to them on the Review Grades page in Gradescope.
-
For ungraded or partially graded submissions: When you post grades to Canvas, a dash (-) displays next to ungraded submissions and an alert (!) icon next to any partially graded submissions.
-
Select Publish Grades if you want students to see their graded, annotated submissions, question-by-question scores, rubrics, and feedback on Gradescope.
-
Select Compose Email to Students at the bottom of the Review Grades page, if you would like to notify students.
