Blue - Getting Started [UW-Madison]
This document provides resources and instructions for getting started for course evaluations.
Blue is a web-based course evaluation platform used to collect and display real-time course evaluation data. For more information about the transition from HelioCampus AC to Blue, see Course Evaluation Tool Transition Project
Using Blue for the First Time
Accessing Blue
All students and instructors with a NetID will be able to access Blue.
How Do I Access Blue?
Navigating to Blue directly

In your web browser, navigate to https://studenteval.wisc.edu

Log in with your NetID and password
Connecting from a Canvas course

Navigate to and open your course.

On the navigation sidebar, select Course Evaluations.
Note: To add or hide Course Evaluations from the navigation bar, please follow these instructions from the Canvas Instructor Guide (Canvas Community). -
Blue will list all course sections that have open evaluations for students. It will also say when they are due.

Click any course from the list to open the course evaluation.

Note: The URL is studenteval-bc.wisc.edu because it is connected to your specific course

During the transition from HelioCampus AC to Blue, hands-on training workshops will be offered to administrators to help familiarize them with the new system.
