For example a channel manager can still only add media they have rights to or that they have personally added to the channel to a channel playlist. You may not see any or all of the media in a channel if you select "channel" and aren't the owner or don't have co-publisher rights to it. Users have to grant co-publisher access to media via the Kaltura MediaSpace collaboration feature for them to have publishing rights to media and to add that media to channel playlists. See Kaltura - Media Collaboration: Changing media ownership, adding co-editors, co-publishers, and co-viewers for more information on the adding other users as collaborators on media.
In the Add Items To Your Playlist you can:- Add content by clicking the "+" button to the right of a video.
- A check-mark appears next to videos already in the Playlist. Click it again to remove a video.
- Click the three dot button next to a video in the playlist to see a drop-down menu which allows you to move a video to the bottom of the playlist, move a video to the top of the playlist, and remove it from the playlist.
- Rearrange content in the playlist by dragging and dropping the items on the left according to the order you want them to be played. The small dash button to the left of a vdieo indicates the media items are draggable:
- Add videos until you have completed populating your playlist and click Save.

Embedding a channel playlist
Channel Playlists are created so that you can share a certain selection of Media Assets with others through other web pages. Use the Embed feature to share your playlists by rendering the player and linking to the media assets as HTML code that can be added to any HTML page.
Be careful about where you embed channel playlists. Embedding a channel playlist circumvents all publishing restrictions and could accidentally make content public that you didn't meant to. If the content you are embedding needs to be secured, embed the playlist on a page that requires login like in a Canvas course. To generate embed code for a channel playlist:
- Launch Chrome or Firefox and go to Kaltura MediaSpace: mediaspace.wisc.edu. If you need more information on how to log in to MediaSpace please see Kaltura - How to Log in to Kaltura MediaSpace (UW-Madison) .
- Click your name or the user icon in the upper right and select My Channels.
- Search for or scroll until you find the channel in which you want to work. Mouse over the channel and click the pencil icon (see above for more detailed instructions on how to edit a channel).
- The Edit Channel page is displayed. Click on the Playlists tab to display all the channel's existing playlists.
- Choose the playlist that you want to Embed and click </> which is the embed button:
- The Share & Embed window displays:
- You can Copy Link or Email Link.
- Choose a horizontal player layout or vertical player layout.
- Choose the maximum embed size.
- Turn auto play on or off. We recommend you keep it off.
- Copy the embed code with the selected settings.
- Click Done when you are finished. You can now paste this embed code into HTML or a course page to embed the playlist there.
