Your UW-Madison preferred name appears in Learn@UW tools.

- This name is set through the MyUW portal, and imported by all Learn@UW tools (in addition to other UW-Madison services).
- When you select a preferred name in MyUW, your preferred first name (as well as your legal last name) will be visible to students, TAs, and instructors on these sites:
- Canvas
- Third-party platforms integrated with Canvas:
- Blackboard Collaborate
- Kaltura
- Piazza
