These are a series of questions the IT staff often gets with relation to email.

Our email system merged with the Campus email system in Fall of 2015.  

We can create math.wisc.edu aliases for your netid account.  So, if you netid is jsmith, we can create a specific email address for you, such as jsmith@math.wisc.edu, or johnsmith@math.wisc.edu, or johnny@math.wisc.edu, providing it is avaiable. Whatever we create, all of your email still goes to your netid account.

How to enable/disable a forward on your email account:  This set of instructions includes an option to save a copy of your messages on your wisc.edu account.  You should do this, due to issues with some email protocols in the forwarding process.
