Change your Default UW Email Address

The following procedure will change the email address that is your default UW address. Example: fermat@math.wisc.edu instead of fermat@wisc.edu.   Be aware that changing this address will change what email is listed as your reply-to in any email communications through the UW.  

1. Go to https://profile.wisc.edu
2. Login with your NetID.
3. Click into Contact Information
4. Choose which email address you want to use as your primary business email address.  Please be aware that using a non-UW email address (such as a gmail account) for your primary email can cause issues in logging into Overleaf or Gradescope.

You may want to change your default account for sending email as well.  

1. Go to https://email.wisc.edu/admin
2. Click My Account
3. Click Office 365
4. Click Email Addresses
5. Choose an email address to act as your primary address.
