Department Workflows
An email is not a workflow: these workflows allow for accountability and ensures a better service experience.
All of these links are available in our KB, Teams Channel, and Asana. I will send this sheet out quarterly and update it as workflows are added, adapted, or changed. If you feel that any workflow is missing, we can work on establishing it together.
1. Purchasing

Submit all purchase requests through here.
- This ensures I have complete information and funding sources in one centralized location
- I receive email notifications when orders are placed
- I review the purchasing list weekly to ensure nothing is missed
- Administrative assistants have access to track deliveries and ensure items reach the correct recipients
3. Curriculum Scheduling - Please use the personalized link you received via email for AY 2026-27 course entry, not this generic link. This is just for your review.
4. Conference Room Reservations
- Assign tasks to the appropriate project buckets within Asana
- If a specific due date is required, please assign it; otherwise, provide a general timeline

7. Facility Repairs and Maintenance - To submit a work order, please follow these steps:
- Visit the SMPH Facilities Management website:
a. Maintenance – SMPH Intranet – UW–Madison (wisc.edu)
- Navigate to the Work Order Request: You will find the link under the “Maintenance Requests” section.
- Fill out the Work Order Form: Provide detailed information about the issue to help us address it efficiently.
- Submit the Form: Once submitted, you will receive a confirmation email with your work order number.
