Moodle - Submission date extentions

UW-Madison is adopting Canvas as the single, centrally supported learning management system, and discontinuing support for Desire2Learn (D2L) and Moodle. Access to D2L and Moodle will permanently end June 1, 2018. For information about retaining materials from D2L or Moodle, please refer to this document.

This article is about allowing a student to submit an assignment past the cut-off date.

If a student fails to submit an assignment by the cut-off date, an instructor can grant an extension if they deem it necessary.

To accomplish this, the instructor must go to the grading page of the assignment.  From there they select Grant Extension from the drop-down under the "Edit" section of the student they wish to extend the deadline for.

The instructor can then select when they would like the extension due by.

Once the date is selected, select Save changes.  The student will have until the new date to submit their work.
