Moodle - Self Enrollment
Sometimes instructors prefer allowing students to enroll themselves in their course. This article explains how to allow students to self enroll in a course.
To turn on self enrollment, first click Enrollment Methods under "Users" in the "Administration" block on the left of the screen.
The "Enrollment methods" page will be brought up and "Self enrollment (Student)" should be grayed out.
Note: If "Self enrollment (Student)" is not shown under "Enrollment methods", select Self enrollment on the "Add method" drop-down.
If "Self enrollment (Student)" is shown but is grayed out, click the Eye icon to enable self enrollment.
After clicking the eye icon, "Self enrollment (Student)" will show up black instead of gray. This means that it is enabled. You can then edit settings of self enrollment by clicking the Gear icon next to the eye.
Students will now be able to enroll in a class by clicking "Enroll me" when accessing the main page of the course.
