Moodle - Adding Mediasite Content

UW-Madison has adopted Canvas as its single, centrally supported learning management system. As of 6/1/2018, support for Desire2Learn (D2L) and most Moodle courses has been discontinued. Access to those courses has permanently ended. However, certain Moodle courses that are part of the Adanced Quizzing Content Functional Gaps project are still available on Moodle. Those courses are located on the Moodle Extension site.

This article will explain how to add content from Mediasite to your Moodle course.

NOTE: The Mediasite Content plugin is only available to users in the College of Engineering.

To begin, select Turn Editing On in the upper right hand corner of your course homepage.

Select the week/topic you would like to add the Mediasite content to and select Add an activity or resource.

After selecting, you will be taken to the activity or resource menu.  Select Mediasite Content under "Resources" and then select Add.

You will be taken to the Mediasite content adding page.  You will not be able to edit the title or description of the activity until you search for Mediasite Content.  Select Open Search Window to search through Mediasite Content.
In the new search window, select whether you are looking for a presentation or catalog and enter the name of your class or the file you would like to search for in the "Text to search" text box. NOTE: Use quotation marks around text material when searching (e.g. "ECE 411"). Then select Search.

After you have selected the presentation or catalog you would like, you will be able to edit the title and description of the activity.  Select Save and return to course or Save and display to add the content to your course.
